Who we are

Obton has been part of the solar PV business for more than 10 years. This means that we have accumulated unique knowledge about the many processes that belong to development, investment, financing and operation of solar PV systems parks.

We have completed more than 160 deals resulting in over 600 PV projects, and the experience gained from each project has made us a flexible organisation that is capable of implementing a variety of different project types.

We respect that every contract, agreement and construction is unique, so we use our flexible toolbox to find the solutions that are exactly right for all stakeholders in any given case.

That is what making the difficult simple is all about.

Development

Obton is a first-mover in the development of projects. Obton typically secures the project rights through bidding rounds conducted by national governments or in connection with a sales process. Obton supervises the project; collecting bids and concluding agreements with subcontractors and suppliers. A contract is also concluded with an experienced contractor to guarantee professional and timely project execution.

Early finance

In this phase, Obton typically enters into a partnership with a developer in need of the necessary starting capital for the construction of a solar PV system or wind turbine. Obton contributes as a capital investor and takes over ownership of the project upon satisfactory completion.

Turnkey

Turnkey projects involve the purchase of solar or wind projects that Obton takes over immediately after the completion of the project. Obton’s streamlined and flexible organisational structure ensures a relatively rapid process of signing agreements with the seller of the project, and a binding project agreement can be concluded relatively quickly.

Secondary market

Having an experienced team of specialists dedicated to the purchasement of assets within renewables, we offer our business partners an easy and short process from the initial contact to financial close. Our competencies and track record allow us to perform due diligence on promising assets in short time, ensuring an effective and satisfying process.

Partnerships

Obton is committed to achieving long-term partnerships with system owners, developers and financial institutions. We prioritise this partnership approach because it provides value and security for all stakeholders.

Many of our projects are based on building a close relationship between Obton and land and rooftop owner as well as developers. For example, we have worked with PV systems on stable roofs in Germany and car parks in France. This has become a profitable enterprise because we have the partnerships locally and, not least, the experience to draw on.
