Obton can send me e-mails and call me for relevant marketing purposes (you may at any time opt out).

For marketing purposes, Obton may collect and use data about me and my activities and correlate such data with information that Obton already has or will receive from e.g. cookies from Obton’s website.

We do not have a data protection consultant. We do, however, have a person who is responsible for all matters concerning Obton's use of personal data: gdpr@obton.com.

The purposes of the processing and the legal basis

Personal data are first and foremost used to gain a better understanding of the website users' interests. In other words, we collect data about you so we can show you relevant content and marketing material.

We process personal data on the background of your consent. We never collect identifying data unless you have given us the information, e.g. by subscribing, registering for an event, buying a product or taking part in a study, downloading a guide, participating in a contest or accessing protected content etc.

Categories of personal data

We collect ordinary personal data through the website, such as name, email and mailing address, and interests in relation to our service.

Recipients or categories of recipients

The personal data is shared with third parties who help us to analyse the personal data, so we can target our marketing. For example, we use personal data from the website to ensure that we send marketing out to similar people through Facebook.

The personal data are also processed on our behalf by our IT suppliers (data processors).

Transfer to recipients in non-EU countries, including international organisations

We send personal data to countries outside the EU. The basis is the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, if not the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses on data protection.

Where your personal data come from

The personal data come from the web site. We combine personal data from the website with general data about similar people through analysis services and social media, to get better insight into your interests.

Storage of your personal data

Your personal data is stored for two years after the cookies that collect the personal data are deleted. However, the data will be deleted as soon as you request deletion if we are obliged to delete the data in accordance with the data protection regulation.

Consent is stored for five years after it is used for the last time, as we must be able to document that you have given us consent and as the time limit for violations of the data protection regulation is five years.

Automated decision-making, including profiling

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling.
